The company is based in Ventura and built around the kind of work that can’t wait for a callback the next morning.

What we do

Most calls come in at the worst possible moment — a pipe has burst overnight, a washing machine hose let go while the family was away, smoke has settled into every surface after a kitchen fire. The work starts with stabilizing the property: extracting standing water, setting containment, pulling readings with moisture meters and thermal cameras to find what the eye can’t see. From there it’s a methodical drying or remediation process, documented at every step for the insurance carrier.

Working with insurance is a significant part of what we do. We photograph affected materials, write scopes that adjusters can follow, and communicate directly with carriers so homeowners aren’t stuck translating between their contractor and their insurance company. Because we’re available around the clock, the response happens when the loss happens — not the following business day when secondary damage has already spread.

Our certifications and what they actually mean

The restoration industry has a credentialing body called the IICRC — the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. Its standards (the S500 for water damage, the S520 for mold) define how work should be scoped, performed, and verified. California Restoration West holds IICRC certification as a firm, and our technicians carry individual credentials in Water Damage Restoration (WRT), Applied Microbial Remediation (AMRT), and Applied Structural Drying (ASD). That last one matters in particular: structural drying is a specialty within water restoration, focused on getting building assemblies — walls, subfloors, framing — back to acceptable moisture levels without unnecessary demolition.

The team is also OSHA trained, which governs safe handling of hazardous conditions on job sites — relevant any time there’s sewage involvement, compromised structural elements, or potential contaminants.

Our primary service area covers Ventura County and the surrounding communities along the Southern California coast and inland valleys — including Oxnard, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Santa Paula, Fillmore, and Ojai, as well as parts of western Los Angeles County.
