Privacy Policy

Effective date: see footer of this page for last-updated date.

California Restoration West operates californiarestorationwest.com to provide information about our restoration services and to make it easy for property owners to reach us. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Information We Collect

When you submit a contact or estimate-request form, we receive the details you enter — typically your name, phone number, email address, property address, and a description of the damage. We also use basic, anonymized analytics (such as page views and referral sources) to understand how visitors find the site. We do not use tracking cookies to build advertising profiles.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, schedule on-site estimates, and — when you authorize us to do so — coordinate with your insurance carrier or adjuster as part of the claims process. We do not use your contact details for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Sharing With Insurance Carriers

If you ask us to work directly with your insurance company, we will share the documentation, photographs, and scope-of-loss information necessary to support your claim. That sharing happens only with your explicit authorization, typically captured on the signed work-authorization form.

Data Retention

We retain contact and project records for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the services you requested and to meet any applicable legal or licensing obligations under California state law. If you would like your information removed from our records after a project is complete, contact us and we will honor that request where legally permissible.

Your Rights Under the CCPA

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of any sale of your data (we do not sell data). To exercise any of these rights, reach us at the contact information below. Because we serve California property owners and operate exclusively within the state, GDPR obligations are not applicable to this site.

Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of californiarestorationwest.com and to any preliminary communications with California Restoration West prior to a signed work authorization.

Service Area

California Restoration West provides water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, and related restoration services to residential and commercial properties in Ventura County and surrounding areas of Southern California. We reserve the right to decline service requests outside our current operating area.

Estimates Are Not Binding Contracts

Any estimate, quote, or scope of work discussed by phone, email, or on-site walkthrough is preliminary. An estimate does not constitute a binding agreement. The actual service relationship — including the agreed scope, pricing, and authorization to begin work — is governed exclusively by the signed work-authorization form provided to you before work commences. Do not assume work will begin or that a price is locked until that document is signed by both parties.

Payment Terms and Accepted Methods

Payment terms are specified in the signed work-authorization form. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of estimate. Where California Restoration West is coordinating directly with your insurance carrier, payment timelines are subject to the carrier’s claims process; you remain responsible for any deductible or amounts not covered by your policy.

Insurance Coordination

We are experienced in working alongside homeowners’ and commercial property insurance carriers and can assist with documentation, photo evidence, and scope-of-loss reporting. However, California Restoration West is not a public adjuster and cannot guarantee specific claim outcomes. All insurance coordination is performed as a courtesy to the property owner and does not alter the payment obligations set out in the signed work-authorization form.

Scope of Work and Liability

California Restoration West operates as a licensed contractor under California state regulations. Our liability is limited to the scope of work described in the signed work-authorization form. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, concealed damage that was not reasonably discoverable at the time of estimate, or damage caused by delays in authorizing work. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under California law.

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises from services provided by California Restoration West, both parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith through direct communication first. If that is unsuccessful, disputes will be subject to the laws of the State of California and resolved in the appropriate courts of Ventura County.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of this website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The governing terms for any active service engagement are those in effect at the time the work-authorization form was signed.

Accessibility Statement

California Restoration West is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers or keyboard navigation. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA conformance level, and the site has been built with semantic markup and contrast ratios intended to support that standard.

If you encounter a barrier — a form that is difficult to complete, an image without a useful description, or any other element that prevents you from getting the information you need — please let us know.
